This Whole House Unit is an amazing addition to your house for better, cleaner, and safer water. This Whole House Unit comes with a Tornado System, a sediment filter, and a carbon blue house with the first carbon filter and 2 additional filters.
This is a non-back washing unit with some significant advantages. There is no wasted water and no use of energy when using it. It is less expensive than most whole house filters and requires minimal maintenance during their lifetimes. Our newly formulated KDF cubes allow both KDF and carbon to reside in the same tank with no channeling or packing problems. The Filtration System for the Whole House provides an uninterrupted supply of pure, filtered water throughout the house and yard. All the water used for drinking, cooking, bathing, washing and landscaping benefits from being purified by one central system. The Whole House System safeguard health and protect plumbing and appliances from staining, corrosion and scale. The Whole House Systems remove hundreds of contaminants including chlorine, DBPs, lead, heavy metals, asbestos, iron, hydrogen sulfide, and hard scale. The water is noticeably softer- without salts or chemicals.
It is designed specifically for removing or reducing chlorine and water-soluble lead, mercury, nickel, chromium, and other dissolved metals. It controls scale, bacteria and algae, even in hot water. The Whole House System uses a patented process to combine KDF media into reticulated foam matrix. This foam has an advantage over KDF granules because its lightweight, doesn’t channel and doesn’t pack. The result is a Point of Entry Filter (POE) which uses no electricity and is effective without the waste of water needed for back washing which is required for filters using KDF.
This model uses Acid-washed Granular Carbon. The carbon is made from coconut shell that has undergone a steam activation process to create its activated carbon form with micro-pores. This acid-washed carbon is especially effective for adsorbing or reducing chlorine, disinfection by –products, TCE, PCE, MTBE and other trace level organics.
For initial start-up it may be necessary to flush the filter for 5 minutes before using the water
The Sediment Filter Used at the start of the Whole House System, the sediment Filter allows for truly exceptional water filtration. The #1 filter is a 5 micron sediment Filter that removes larger particles in you water, including rust and scale from your pipes. When sediment is removed from the filtration system before the second step, the Whole House Filter is able to filter even more effectively. The #2 filter is a 1 micron sediment filter prevents the Whole House Filter from being clogged unnecessarily by larger particles so they can work on the smaller particles and microbes. In addition to improving the quality of your water, the Sediment Filter also helps to protect your investment. By pre-filtering your water, the Sediment Filter reduces the strain on the other components in the system which can prolong the life of your filters. As with any filtration system though, filter life depends on the quality of the water you are filtering and the amount of water you process. The more you filter the faster they will be used. (Sediment is usually found even in treated water!! Scale and rust from you own pipes can frequently recontaminate your water)
